Dear Friends and Supporters,

The Institute for Theonomic Reformation, ITR, is a non-profit, Christ- centered organization, dedicated to the essential Biblical Worldview of Christian Cultural Dominion as its core vision. The ITR seeks to re-introduce the long forgotten commission of the saints to the Cultural Dominion Mandate, originally given to Adam in Genesis 1:28, and reiterated in Luke 10:19 and 1 Corinthians 10:4-5.

The ITR is committed to Christian victory. Not simply a personal victory over indwelling sin by the power of God’s Redemptive Grace, but a Cultural victory over the effects of sin in every area and sphere of life. While this can never be perfectly accomplished on earth, the Christian can affect and direct every institution of society in a comprehensive fashion through education and proactive societal participation.

This concept may seem new and revolutionary, but in fact, it is as old as history itself. Not only can it be done, it must be done in order for our nation to survive and prosper under God’s Blessing.

Upon the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Samuel Adams declared: “We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in Heaven and from the rising to the setting sun, let His kingdom come.”

For Adams , as for all the Founders, the Kingdom of God was to be established on earth, through God-fearing, righteous and just governments. Only through a Biblically based Legal system could liberty and equity be established and maintained.

Patrick Henry was even more emphatic when describing the original structure of the governmental system of the New Republic . While he refused to allow any single Christian church denomination to govern under Theocratic Rule, (church rule) he called for the Nation to be under the universal Law of God – thus calling for a Theonomic Rule (Biblical Rule).

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Andrew Jackson was even more forceful in this regard by declaring: “That Book [the Bible] Sir, is the Rock upon which our Republic rests.”

Christians haven’t taken this call seriously since the mid 1800’s and have become conditioned to believe that the world belongs to the wicked. Since the Righteous seem to be out numbered, and out financed, the Christian community has responded by hiding silently in the church. Sadly, modern Christian thought is structured around defeatism, retreatism, fear, sloth and hopelessness. This unbiblical posture has significantly contributed to the fundamental downfall of the Christian influence that originally established this American Republic to its greatness.

Humanism and Godlessness have grown to the giants they are as a direct result of the Christian retreat into a sphere of social impotence, ignorance, and irresponsibility. We can see this especially in the laws of our land. Since every law is simply the codification of societal belief, law is a reflection of a society’s moral and religious posture. When societal law becomes a license for immorality and plunder, that law must be condemned.

The British Jurist, Sir William Blackstone declared: “No human laws are of any validity if contrary to this [i.e. God’s Law].

It was Sir William Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws of England, which became the textbook for the American Colonists and Founders. The Congress of the United States was vehemently encouraged to repeal all laws which were contrary to the Laws of God, which included all laws inconsistent with liberty, justice, and the right of property.

Through a comprehensive and targeted educational approach, the ITR believes that the heretical mindset of fearful and retreating Christians can be remedied and finally eradicated over many generations. Once again this nation, through the righteous, and God fearing, influence of its people can be brought to be what Founding father John Winthrop called, a “City on a Hill”.

A properly motivated, Biblical, and Christ-centered education must not only challenge the individual but entire culture. By kindling the hearts and minds of both young and old alike, the ITR seeks to provide instruction, strategies, news, analysis, economic review, political commentary and an inexhaustible amount of resources revolving exclusively around a Biblical World view. This leadership training is essential for our future generations if national prosperity in Righteousness is to be realized.

It is our plan to equip this generation, and the generations to come, with the passion and skills to positively influence all institutions of human existence through sound Christian Scholarship.

Will you help us realize this vision?

My Friends, if you share this vision, and desire to see the American Culture return to its Righteous Biblical roots in Law, Politics, Economics, Business, Science, Literature, Art, and the totality of Culture, please consider your part in supporting the Institute with your tax deductible gift.

We are available online or by phone to answer any of your questions concerning our mission. Our desire is to be as effective in our financial stewardship as we are in our education process. Will you please help us? Thank you for your consideration, and may the Lord richly bless you.

With sincere and highest regards,

Rev. Paul Michael Raymond
