The Christian Tactical Playbook
A Field Guide for Cultural Reconstruction

Transforming Our Culture and Communities For Christ

INTRODUCTION

This manual is designed to enable you and a few of your friends/brethren to better serve The Lord Jesus in your community. You will find various topics under four main headings; Individual, Family, Church and Civil Government. These areas will assist you in will identifying various options for you to be productive and influential, individually or as a team. When confronting the society at large, either locally, state wide or nationally our recommendation is that you first build a Team. Then, in a coordinated Team effort, you will be more effective.

HOW TO USE THIS MANUAL

  • The manual is divided into several Main Heads (below).
  • Each Main Head focuses upon a particular subject or sphere of life where you can become active and influential.
  • Choose the subject you are interested in and click on the tab. The link will take you to another index where you can refine your search. There you will find articles, strategies and practical game-plans written by our staff so as to guide
you with concrete tactics for the accomplishing of your task to change the culture for the Glory of God. At the end of each article you will also find an resource list and bibliography so you can do your own additional research in your particular area.
  • Furthermore, you can submit your comments, questions or own game plan. The Playbook staff will review your proposal and post it if it meets the necessary criteria.
  • This manual can be reproduced in part or in its entirety as long as it is not used for profit without proper authorization.
  • Copy the portion of the manual you and your team have chosen to execute and make up a "policy playbook" for each member. Add to as you see fit and make it part of your effort to engage the culture and bring it into humble submission before the Sovereign Lord and King, Jesus Christ.

"There is not one inch of this entire Universe in which God, the Sovereign Lord of All, does not say; "This belongs to Me."

Mission Statement

"Working together to transform the culture and every community for the Glory of God."

A Mission statement defines your goal and gives you direction. It works as a guide in the form of a concise memorable slogan or a to-the-point statement. Failure to adopt a mission statement leads to a haphazard and hazy pattern for victory. As the saying sometimes goes, "If you do not know where you are going, you will never get there." Individual persons as well as teams should develop a mission statement. Return to Index

Strategy

Defining our terms:

The word 'strategy' comes from the word 'strategem' meaning to lead an army. This term specifically indicates a military plan for war or a scheme for defeating an enemy. Thus, in the culture war against the philosophies of secular humanism the Christian needs a brilliant plan for action.

Ques: What is the General Biblical Strategy for Dominion Success?

The general overall plan given by God to His people through Adam is found in Genesis 1:28:
"Subdue and Take Dominion". In order to accomplish this mission we must live out our faith through obedient action. This cultural commission is Covenantal in nature and binding upon all of God's people.

  • General Goal: A fulfilling of the Dominion Cultural Mandate.

  • The Overall Approach: Confront the enemy of Secular Humanism, Destroy it, Displace it , Replace it with the Principles of Christ and His Law in every area of life.

    HOW DO WE ACCOMPLISH THIS?

The Principle Approach: i.e. This is basically what we must do overall.

    1. Use this manual for ideas, insight, creative encouragement, resources and networking

    2. Model the Way by Example: Pro-Active Action

    3. Build Teams: Share the Vision - Ignite the passions

    3. Enable, Equip and Encourage others to Act.

    4. Challenge the Goliath of Secularism

    Confront - Displace - Replace

A key aspect of this plan is the establishment of local action committees across America .

Reformed

Reformed

The Reformed faith is commonly called Calvinism which is the system of doctrine regarded as consistently Biblical by Protestant Reformed Churches. The Reformed faith sets for the Doctrines of Grace whereby salvation is gained only by the Sovereign intervention of God's Grace and not at all by good works or the keeping of the moral or ceremonial law. The European Reformation of the 16th century officially ushered in the Reformed faith although reformers like Wycliffe and Hus came years before. The name reform, reformed, or reformer is uses since these faithful men were hoping to "reform" the Roman Church from which they were apart. The Reformed Faith has set as its standard the Bible alone without the use of tradition or edicts by popes or kings. Reformation theology can be easily broken down into 5 main heads: Sola Scriptura, Sola Gracia, Sola Fede, Solo Christos, Soli Deo Gloria. The Scriptures alone, by Grace alone, by Faith alone, By Christ alone for the Glory of God alone.

Creedal

Creed or Creedal

From the Latin credere, lit. "to believe". A Creed is a statement of faith, not necessarily a comprehensive or complete statement, but one which contains the articles which cover matters that are fundamental to the faith and some that have been brought up for dispute. Creeds were historically written in response to certain heresies. In order to clearly and concisely set forth and defend the true doctrine of scripture creeds became an important part of the Christian Religion. Creeds have been used as a standard against false teachings by churches throughout history and continue to be very useful. The churches that held to historic and faithful creedal confessions and catechisms are called creedal churches. While creeds should never be set above the Scriptures, or regarded as Divinely inspired they have faithfully served the church throughout the century's as a tool by which the church was kept free from many destructive heresies. The creeds that have served the Reformed Churches most faithfully over the centuries are: The Apostle's Creed, The Nicene Creed, The Athanasian Creed, The Cannons of Orange, The Westminster Catechism, The Canons of Dort, The Belgic Confession and The Heidelberg Catechism.

Theonomic

Theonomy

Theonomy is formed from two Greek words, THEO and NOMOS. Lit God's Law. Theonomy teaches that all of God's Laws, excluding the ceremonial Law, are to be applicable for today. The true result of Grace is service and obedience to God. For the Christian, the Law of God is a lamp and a light. It is no longer a condemning power but rather a revelational guide. Like Reconstruction all Christians are to some extent Theonomists. Many however, refuse to take that conviction to its proper conclusion.

Reconstruction

Reconstruction

A Christian Reconstructionalist is a Calvinist holding to the historic Reformed Faith, commonly known as Calvinism. He holds to the orthodox faith of the Reformers of the 16th century and the Covenanters of the 17th century. A Christian Reconstructionalist is someone who believes in the absolute Sovereignty of God in every sphere of Life. There is no area of life that God does not claim as His own. Therefore all areas of life must ultimately come under the authority of the King of Creation. Since all the earth belongs to Him and all flesh is obliged to Him, His Law reigns supreme. It is the only legitimate authority in the universe. Reconstructionists seek to declare that Law as Sovereign urging all men and nations to abide by its glorious precepts. While some Christians of the "monastic - retreatist persuasion" frown on Christian involvement outside the walls of the church, especially in the arena of politics, every Christian is to some extent a Reconstructionalist.

Postmillennial

Postmillennial

There are variations of Postmillennialism however for our purposes we shall explain it thusly:
Postmillennialism is the belief that the Final Coming of Christ will be preceded by a period of God Fearing Righteous reign rather than a time of great tribulation. The period of the New Testament age is the Year of Christ's Dominion, Anno Dominio, where the Government of the World will be upon His shoulder and of the increase of His government there shall be no end. The period preceding the coming is known as the Millennium Reign. At the coming of the Lord there will be the general resurrection, the Judgment and the eternal state of the New Heaven and the New Earth.
